Privacy policy

This explains what App444 collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

App444 is operated from Australia and is subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Business name, ABN and registered address to be added before launch — see the contact page.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in readable form), city and country.
• Profile details: your role, skills, experience and anything else you choose to add.
• Project content: your answers to the 12 blocks, your business plan, summaries and documents.
• Confidential detail: whatever you put in the Block 12 confidential box.
• Activity: which projects you view, apply to or watch, and feedback you leave.
• Technical data: log information needed to run and secure the service.

What we do with it

• Run your account and show you your projects.
• Generate your business plan, safe summary and role listings from your answers.
• Show your public summary to other users, if and only if you set it to public.
• Match your project to contributors and, once ready, show it to investors.
• Contact you about your account and projects.
• Keep the platform secure and working.

Your confidential detail

Content you put in the Block 12 confidential box is stored separately, is never published, is never included in any summary or plan, and is never sent to the AI provider. See IP and confidentiality for the full explanation, including its limits.

Who else sees your data

App444 does not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Other users — but only the parts you have chosen to make visible.
• Our AI provider, to generate your documents. Your confidential detail is excluded before anything is sent.
• Infrastructure providers who host the application and the database.
• Payment providers, when you pay for something.
• Anyone we are legally required to disclose to.

To be completed before launch: name each provider, say which country stores the data, and confirm what each one is contractually permitted to do with it.

Your rights

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your account, which removes your projects with it.
• Complain to us, and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if we do not resolve it.

How long we keep things

Your content stays until you delete it or close your account. Some records may be retained longer where the law requires it. To be specified before launch.

Security

Passwords are hashed. Connections are encrypted. Access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects you, as required by Australian law.

Children

App444 is not intended for people under 16. To be confirmed before launch — if university and youth programs are part of the plan, the position on under-18 users needs to be decided deliberately, not by accident.
